I BELIEVE. NOTHING HAPPENS BY RANDOM. NOTHING! BUT RATHER WITH A PURPOSE. THE IDEA COMES TO US WHEN WE ARE READY. WHEN WE TRUST ENOUGH AND ARE FULLY COMMITTED.

NATURAL – RESPONSIBLE – ORGANIC

How our clothes are made?

EVERYTHING IN LIFE IS A PROCESS. A PROCESS THAT IS A WINDING ROAD FULL OF BEAUTIFUL AND NOT-SO-BEAUTIFUL THINGS.

I believe. Nothing happens by chance. Nothing! But rather with a purpose. The idea comes to us when we are ready. When we trust enough and are fully committed. This is the only way it can guide us and help us reach our goal. Sometimes the final project is completely different from the initial idea. But everything in life is a process. A process that is a winding road full of beautiful and not-so-beautiful things. But the important thing is that we are committed. This is the only way we will accomplish what we set out to do.

That’s how Nina and Elmira found each other. The first from Slovenia with a vision and a great desire to realize an idea she was passionate about. The other from Kazakhstan with design and sewing skills. Each of us with our half of the vision, desire, knowledge and responsibility that was needed to create a whole – our joint project – a sustainable, ethical and traditional clothing collection. Nina and Elmira, who are in love with natural materials and heritage.

In the time of our great-grandmothers, there were quite a few cases where the cycle from seed to garment was completed in the same house. Flax grew from the planted seed which was harvested, processed, made into thread, woven into cloth, tailored and sewn into a new garment. Things are different now. The production and processing of natural fabrics has almost died out. It is no longer possible to find sustainable and natural materials made in Europe.

In Elmira’s homeland and nearby countries, however, the tradition of natural materials has been preserved. Despite the fact that natural materials are simple, durable and modest, working with them is challenging if you are not familiar with them. Elmira is a connoisseur of natural traditional materials and their origin, because she uses them in her work. This allowed our project to really come to life.

Why did we name our clothes with traditional Slovene names?

OUR GREAT GRANDMOTHERS WITH THE KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS OF MAKING CLOTHES ARE NO MORE.

They are just gone physically. Energetically, they still reside within us. Nothing was lost. Everything is left. Only the right time is needed for their invisible bond to come to light again. We should not be presumptuous and feel as if we were chosen. It’s not a choice. It is our responsibility to understand the message of the value of our heritage. Our great-grandmothers entrusted us with this honorable task. Responsibility to tradition is showing respect for our ancestors. Silent signals encourage us that it’s time to change something. Our great-grandmothers left us with the silent awareness that heritage and tradition are part of us and that without it, our existence is not possible. The memory of them should remind us that we lost focus. Our selfishness and desire for a comfort zone have clouded our body, mind and spirit.

If we are willing to hear their inaudible message, we will be able to find the original essence. On all three levels of our existence: physical, psychological and spiritual. Out of our own hedonism, we try to resist its voice and suppress it in the subconscious. But it comes up again and again. Stronger and louder every time. As long as we don’t want to hear it, it will stubbornly insist. If our ego is too strong, it can also become silent and no longer speak. It will shut up when it’s too late.

It is only fair to thank the ancestors for their wisdom and tradition. Let’s give thanks in the hope that their quiet voice can set us on the right path. Towards a responsible life with a purpose.

An original, in-depth and responsible path. A path that leads us back to our essence. Our strength comes from the experience and responsibility of our ancestors. The voice of responsibility, which we do not want to hear, so it is dusty and almost inaudible to us. But its core – essence is alive and strong. It cannot be lost, but it can be heard. The seed of knowledge can germinate, we just have to let it. We. Alone. Only in this way can we become satisfied and brimming with life.

It is a real blessing to allow ourselves to dream and discover. To discover our mission, our purpose and feel the miracle – LIFE. To be able to live and work for what enriches us is a true blessing. But we have to decide for ourselves first and foremost for this blessing. To decide to listen to the voice that our great-grandmothers carried inside. The journey of learning will be long, but worth every step.
