THE RITUAL OF ST. DANIEL IS A RETURN TO AN OLD KNOWLEDGE. IT IS A PATH OF SEARCHING FOR A WAY OF LIFE THAT SEEKS A BALANCE BETWEEN THE MATERIAL AND THE TRANSCENDENTAL. CONCEPTUS (LAT.) MEANS CONCEIVED WORD OR CONCEPT. IT IS ABOUT BEGINNING – THE BIRTH OF A THOUGHT NOT YET EXPRESSED BY SOUND. IT IS A CONCEIVED WORD THAT IS NOT YET BORN. IT IS, BUT STILL INAUDIBLE.

It is not well-being and it is not self-fulfillment. It is not a new invention. It follows the patterns written in everything around us. It is a ritual based on the skills and wisdom of our ancestors.

Our ancestors adhered to the principle of “Discretio” (good measure). Everything they needed for balance was taken from trust in the Perfection and from nature. Their inner voice – instinct connected them with nature. They knew how to observe nature and listen to it. The laws of nature and the universe were revealed to them. Nature was essential to their existence. They were aware that nature, despite all its beauty, is also cruel. But she is honest. Not cruel with an ulterior motive.

There was no doubt. They lived in contact with the earth and the sky, they looked into nature, learned and noted that patterns are repeated both above and below. As in heaven so on earth. And in their own bodies as well. It was clear to them that consciousness and intelligence are inextricably linked. That this connection is not just a mathematical pattern, but has a much deeper meaning. Meaning that can be discovered through the deeper meaning of patterns. Patterns that are repeating themselves. Because they exist, we can learn about them and search for explanation and meaning. The meaning takes us to the importance of rituals for man.

Observance of rituals allows us to feel again the most beautiful “cinema performance” in the open air – the endless starry sky above us. To feel what is transcendental and immaterial in us. We are filled with deep respect when we come to the realization that behind the unknown lies what our ancestors had written within themselves. Their consciousness. Trust in Perfection, no matter the circumstances. If we change our outlook on life, we get closer to what is hidden from our eyes – the essence.

Everything we humans do can be regarded as a pattern. It has its purpose. We don’t do anything without a purpose. Intent patterns cannot be modified. Cosmos gives the argument that for the existence of things on different levels of reality, specific patterns must work. Patterns that man cannot change because they are not his product. “A chair cannot explain a chair”. Try to change the meeting ritual. Offer a knee instead of a hand, squeal instead of a greeting, turn away from the person and tell them something by standing on your head, speak only yourself, don’t listen to them and make them feel worthless. It won’t work. Your normality will be questioned. Conversely, a pattern can grow into a ritual, which in turn can grow into a rite.

Imagine this meeting in ritual form, where sincerity of heart and deep acceptance and respect work together. Human relationships are just that. They must follow the rules, the pattern, which is not our intellectual product, but the intellectual discovery of something deeper, higher. Something that rules all of creation. Patterns, rituals are our reality that can connect us to the transcendent. Realizing that everything has a purpose. From days and nights, changing seasons, heartbeat, breathing, communication, feeding, reproduction…everything works according to patterns. Only by accepting and following patterns that have a spiritual purpose can we learn to live a contented life.

Stubbornness and ego have brought us to a point that seems hopeless. We have gone astray in our search for a physical particle. Matter overwhelmed us completely and clouded our mind and spirit. Our happiness is only apparent. It exists only in the eyes of others. Not in us. The material cannot satisfy and make us happy, but rather exhausts us more and more. We turned the basic laws of creation upside down and tried to change something that is absolutely unchangeable. We failed!

We dissected the tea-making ritual into the physical laws of boiling water, the chemical components of tea… As an aside, we dismissed as unimportant the simple desire to brew it simply because we wanted it. Let’s take a step back and make some tea. Let’s be aware that a cup of tea can be a meeting with someone from the past. With the grandfather we liked the most. Tea will call up the invisible – memories, fragrances, joy and happiness.
