Top Mara is made of 100% bamboo, which is a very resistant, durable and environmentally friendly material. Bamboo thread is naturally soft. Compared to other fibers, bamboo fibers are very long and smooth, which is why they are extremely pleasant to the touch. The fabric gives a silk-like feel. The softness of bamboo is made possible by the length of its fiber, which does not have a coarse structure.

WHY IS 100% BAMBOO SUSTAINABLE?
IMPACT ON THE ENVIRONMENT – Bamboo is the fastest growing plant in the world, which makes it one of the most renewable resources. It absorbs five times more greenhouse gases than other wood and releases 35% more oxygen. It needs very little land and space and perfectly tolerates poor soil quality. It sprouts new shoots from its extensive root system without the need for additional transplanting and fertilizing.
LOW WATER CONSUMPTION – Very little water is used in production and processing and no irrigation is required.
NO TOXINS – It naturally protects itself from insects, so there is no need for dangerous pesticides or fertilizers.
100% BIODEGRADABLE MATERIAL – Bamboo fibers are 100% biodegradable and suitable for recycling.
NATURAL PIGMENTATION – Bamboo fabric is dyed with natural pigments obtained from various plants, vegetables, minerals, bark, fruit, leaves, flowers, roots and stems.
FAST GROWTH – From one bamboo seedling, a growing area is formed – a collection of several plants. A young plant binds 2 tons of carbon dioxide in seven years. An adult tree binds only 1 ton of carbon dioxide in 40 years. This means that bamboo absorbs 5 times more CO2 than a pine tree.
TRADITIONAL – The plant was first used for many purposes around the world already 7,000 years ago.
AIRY AND LIGHTWEIGHT MATERIAL – The fabric protects the skin from UV rays and is also suitable for wearing in the hot summer months due to its breathability. The fabric also has antibacterial properties and thus prevents the growth of bacteria and allows the skin to breathe.
DURABILITY – Despite multiple washes and years of wear, it does not become damaged or destroyed, but increasingly soft and comfortable to wear.
CARE
It is very easy to maintain and does not require special attention. We recommend that you wash clothes by hand or in the washing machine at max. 30 degrees. Tumble drying is not recommended.
Fabrics from our collection are dyed with natural dyes. When washing for the first time, it is recommended to add 1 kg of sea salt to the washing machine and wash the garment at max. 30 degrees. In this way, the natural pigment will be completely fixed in the fabric and will remain completely durable even in subsequent washes.
Natural materials shrink by a few percent during the first wash. A 5-7 percent shrinkage is typical.
