Dress Ernesta

Dress Ernesta is made from 100% hemp which is one of the oldest cultivated plants. We have known it for more than 10,000 years. In addition to its excellent technical characteristics, hemp is also extremely important for the green future of our planet. It contributes to the preservation of the bee population. It is an excellent source of pollen, which is the main food for bees. Most crops bloom in the spring, so there is a big shortage of pollen in the summer months. Hemp blooms between July and September and thus provides enough food for the bees
- Material: 100% hemp
- 100% natural, suitable for recycling and biodegradable

WHY IS 100% HEMP SUSTAINABLE?
IMPACT ON THE ENVIRONMENT – The production of hemp fabric is inherently environmentally sustainable. This is proven by the fact that people have been producing fabric from hemp for thousands of years without causing much environmental pollution. Due to the durability of hemp fiber, less production is required and thus less CO2 emissions.
LOW WATER CONSUMPTION – Very little water is used in production and processing. The plant gets most of its water through rainwater.
NO TOXINS – No chemicals are used in the cultivation of hemp. It does not release toxic gases during combustion. Hemp helps detoxify and regenerate the soil. It acts as a filter and draws toxins from the soil and the environment, thus helping to clean polluted areas. Hemp was also planted around Chernobyl.
100% BIODEGRADABLE MATERIAL – Hemp fibers are 100% biodegradable and suitable for recycling.
NATURAL PIGMENTATION – Hemp fabric is dyed with natural pigments obtained from various plants, vegetables, minerals, bark, fruit, leaves, flowers, roots and stems.
ETHICAL – Hemp is the fruit of the work of human hands. It represents the path from seed to fabric and is based on a sustainable economy that ensures that the work process is fair to people, animals and nature. Production and processing help support local artisans and traditional skills.
ROTATION OF CROPS – Hemp is also a plant intended for rotation. It improves and stabilizes soil quality, replenishes the soil with nutrients and reduces the risk of pests and diseases.
TRADITIONAL – Hemp is one of the oldest cultivated plants. We have known it for more than 10,000 years. The cultivation and processing of hemp is based on a tradition that is passed down from generation to generation.
AIRY AND LIGHTWEIGHT MATERIAL – The fabric protects the skin from UV rays and is also suitable for wearing in the hot summer months due to its breathability. It also has antibacterial properties and thus prevents the growth of bacteria and allows the skin to breathe.
DURABILITY – Despite repeated washings and years of wear, it is not damaged or destroyed, but becomes increasingly soft and comfortable to wear. The dyed fabric retains its color and does not wash off.
Proof of the long-term durability of hemp is the first Guttenberg Bible, which was printed on paper made from hemp in 1455. Almost 600 years later, the book is still in excellent condition. Paper made from hemp is much better quality than paper made from cellulose and does not become yellow.
CARE
It is very easy to maintain and does not require special attention. We recommend that you wash clothes by hand or in the washing machine at max. 30 degrees. Tumble drying is not recommended.
Fabrics from our collection are dyed with natural dyes. When washing for the first time, it is recommended to add 1 kg of sea salt to the washing machine and wash the garment at max. 30 degrees. In this way, the natural pigment will be completely fixed in the fabric and will remain completely durable even in subsequent washes.
Natural materials shrink by a few percent during the first wash. A 5-7 percent shrinkage is typical.
ORIGIN
Made in Slovenia and Kazakhstan.
