Miramare Castle (GPS 45.70250, 13.71238)

The name of the castle comes from the Spanish 'miramare' - a view of the sea. The castle is situated directly by the sea, so the majority of its halls and rooms look out to sea. It was built in 1860 and is still in excellent condition. You can walk throughits halls and visit the rooms of Maximillian and his wife, where there is a peculiar room in the shape of a boat cabin (as Maximillian was a seafarer). The Castle has a large, beautiful park full of exotic flora.
